Cameroon : Exclues du collège pour homosexualité / Excluded from middle-school for homosexual practices - By Frédéric Boungou, Le Messager, 03/19/06 : http://www.bonaberi.com/article.php?aid=2045

Placidly written on a sheet of paper : ?list of the lesbians definitively excluded?. ?On the pictures the name and the class of each of the pupils is carefully indicated. The guards have been warned and have been asked not to let them inside of the middle school anymore. Since their interview with the director of the establishment, such an ending was foreseeable? another student says. ?It has been some some time since they started acting weirdly?.

Manifestation contre l'homosexualité au Cameroun / March against homosexuality in Cameroon - By Habibou Bangré, Tétu, 07/12/09 : http://www.tetu.com/actualites/international/manifestation-contre-lhomosexualite-au-cameroun-15076

The archdiocese of Douala, the economic capital of South Cameroon, is crusading against homosexuality again. Yesterday, july 11th, thousands of people have answered its call and gathered to protest in the streets. The Catholic church has launched a petition to denounce the ratification of the African Charter of Human and People?s Rights (Maputo protocol). Their problem with it? First the text adopted in 2003 by the African Union authorizes medically assisted abortion. Second, it legalized homosexuality. Hence yesterday?s demonstration to which 20.000 people participated according to the archbishop (this estimation was not confirmed by the police).

LGBT rights in Jamaica- Wikipedia- last revised 11/28/08
LGBT (Lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender) rights in Jamaica are dominated by the prohibition of sexual acts between men. Sexual acts between women are legal, by virtue of the absence of any reference to them in law. Sex between men is punishable with up to ten years jail.[1] Social leaders in Jamaica accuse international groups of meddling in domestic affairs. They defend laws against homosexuality as upholding Christian values.
